We have recently partnered with Trulips who are providing the Lip Balm for our Third Trimester Baboo Box. Lip Balm is essential for your hospital bag, as the gas and air can really dry out your lips! Kaushal the founder of Trulips introduces her products in our latest blog post:
Hi everyone I hope you're all doing great and enjoying your journey into motherhood.
My name is Kaushal Pindoria and I am the founder of Trulips Ltd, natural, eco friendly lip balm company.

I made these lip balms, not initially wanting to start a company, but because I needed to find a lip balm that worked for me. I suffer from very dry lips that would crack and bleed and as a result scab especially in extreme temperatures.
I have used most well known brands and found that although some may work for a little while I would have to apply a really thick layer or keep reapplying numerous times during the day for my lips to stay moisturised. I even used to apply Vicks Vapo rub or Olbas oil onto my lips at times in desperation. I eventually decided to try making my own, thinking that if I bought some raw ingredients at least I would be able to tweak the formulas to hopefully find something that would work for ME!

After doing a lot of research into the best ingredients, how to best ratio formulas and a lot of messed up lip balms, I finally created a formula that I liked. This first batch was unscented.
I wanted to trial flavours but I wanted to include ingredients that would add to the softening and nourishing properties of the lip balm. So again after a lot of research and trials I settled on two flavours; Spearmint and Menthol.
Trulips lip balms available in Baboo Box

I made small batches of each and gave some out to friends and family just for fun. It was after hearing how much they loved my lip balms that I decided to pursue selling.

Our lip balms are made to be long lasting and super nourishing made with ingredients specifically chosen to target and heal chapped, dry and cracked lips.

Mango seed butter is a natural source of Vitamin A and works to deeply moisturise your lips. It treats dry and sensitive lips.

Sweet almond oil is a natural source of Vitamin E and promotes healthy skin cells and protects your lips from UV damage. It has natural fatty acids which helps to heal chapped lips and keep them smooth and soft.

Coconut oil is easily absorbed in the skin and keeps your lips nourished and looking healthy. It is naturally antibacterial and antifungal helping to heal cracked lips a lot more easily.

Candelilla wax is rich in nutrients and is great for conditioning your lips. It is easily absorbed and is great for soothing chapped and cracked lips.

Vitamin E oil is a natural antioxidant and is great for softening your lips.

We have used the best natural ingredients and eco friendly packaging. Our lip balms are 100% vegan and cruelty free.

I'm so excited to be partnering up with Baboo box and I hope our lip balms help to make it easier for you to take care of yourselves whilst taking care of bump and baby.
